Better still,
There have two kinds of mounts over the years where the temp sender
attaches to Spitfire engines. On my car, I have both types installed.
The one type is on the right side of the water pump housing. The other
is in the aluminum thermostat housing. You can but the earlier
thermostat housing on the later engine and shazam! you have two places
to mount temp senders.
