- We almost have the '64 1600 back up & running. Right now we're dealing with a knocking that sounds like it's from the head. We've adjusted the valves to spec, but it's still knocking. Any ideas? Than

- Valves don't knock, they tappety tap. A soft knock that isn't too 'bassy' usually indicates a bad connecting rod bearing. A louder knock usually indicates a crank bearing. Bring it to a mechanic and
