William. a non O/D gearbox costs $500 for a rebuild.I believe all parts are readily available, but I would urge you to seek out a Triumph specialist. It is very hard to do these boxes correctly so th

Is it? I re-did my box about 10 years ago. Since that, it has only seen 10 years of daily driving, so I can't be really sure it will *last*, of course. But IMHO these boxes are very straight forward

Had the same 2nd gear problem with my '74 (TR6). Considering the the way it felt on the freeway (Rev too high), my solution was to find a OD Trans, which I did. After searching around, I found a shop
