- 4.38 ratio?!?! Wow, I hope you tow it to the track! Dou you even use 1st IIRC, the rule of thumb is that wheel width should be at least 75% of tire width, and that's pushing it. A 6" rim is only 67.7

- I was using 225/50/14's on my roadster with 7" rims. I had to modify the front and rear fenders. I think the widest you will be able to use is a 205 without modifications. I would stick with the V700

- It could be more than tires that keep you in front, a lot more. I think a good driver would be able to change his driving style to fit the grip of the car and make the smaller tires work for them. H
