- I was going to lube the throttle cable on my 67 1600 because it was sticking. when I pulled the cable I noticed that the end (carb side) was broken. there seems to be a plastic tube or insert inside

- Try a bicycle shop. They stock brake cable housing in rolls, just let them know how many feet you need. They are plastc/teflon lined for lower friction. They will also have 2.2 mm inner cable as well
