You won't really be able to drive the stud in with a hammer or other tool. Drawing them in is best method - for the sake of the stud, too. Just insert the stud through back of hub with splines lined

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Finished the job tonight. Ended up packing the stud with about 7 washers and using the tire iron and lug nut to draw in the stud. Used some lock tight as an extra
