It sounds like bushings to me. My spit doesn't do it but I've installed new bushings. Not that hard to do. I can't think of anything else that would cause the symptoms that you're describing. "He who

On my car the bracket under the dash had broken (on one side). Required welding. The Moss TR2-4A catalog has a blurb on this problem (and its solution)

Hi Bob, I'm sure glad I asked, I suspect mine is a bushing problem, it figures. Probably I got more answers because of my gender. The guys seem always willing to help a "dumb girl" with car problems.
