I'm wanting to replace my rear springs with uprated ones. I tried to remove the spring without a spring compressor but the arm won't drop low enough. Is there an easy and cheap way to create a spring

Don't need a spring compressor for the rear. Make sure the e-brake is not set. You must turn the axles in order for the trailing arm to drop fully. This should be enough to get the springs out. I we

Thanks everyone for your advice on the rear springs (and no need for a spring compressor). I just got finished switching out my springs and all I needed to do was turn the drums some. go figure! :-)
