I am trying to get my speedo working as well. I managed to get the 90 deg. adapter off (penetrating oil, skinned knuckels, screwdriver, Hammer.. ). But I can't seem to get the part out of the transmi

Yes, the speedo housing can be very difficult to get out after all these years even when the tranny is out of the car. I used large vice grips to twist it to break the rust and a large screwdriver to

I have tried turning it with the little adapter & it does not seem to want to turn so I don't know for sure that there is anything wrong with it. However, the 90 degree adaptor seems to wrk smoothly
