I am trying to get my speedo working as well. I managed to get the 90 deg.
adapter off (penetrating oil, skinned knuckels, screwdriver, Hammer.. ). But I
can't seem to get the part out of the transmission. With pump pliers I managed
to get it to turn about 1/8th inch but thats it.
Is their a trick to getting this thing out? Am I going to have to pull the
tranny (ie motor)?
I don't think this thing has been removed since the car was put together 36
years ago.
Any suggestions appreciated.
