- Hi All, Well I took the Spit for it's first reide since the restoration. I still haven't put the windshield in so I couldn't go to far or fast. My heart sank when I heard noise from the differential

- I think I had a sound similar to yours...not under load but when evening out (no hills, or coasting before engine braking kicks in) here's hoping it's just a wheel bearing like mine was.

- Kevin I replaced the pinion seal in my 71 in 1997. I did not have a torque wrench that went to 90, so I guessed at the proper torque. I don't think the noise is due to the nut if it's tight and pinn
