I bought a glass polishing kit from Eastwood to try and take care of the same problem on my GT6. I have not tried it yet but they say if you can't feel it with a fingernail then it will polish out.

Spit polishing the hood will have to wait until after I paint it<g>. Believe it or not, Brasso does take out the small pits (toothpaste will work too, I just don't like that mint smell<g>) Mike Welch
