I've used Brasso, the brass polishing liquid, on my windshield, and the
small pits went away in about an hour of scrubbing.

With the low angle of the sun, I really notice how pitted my
windshield is. Normally, you can just see a slight hazy look, but with
direct sun, it looks like its been sandblasted. Is there any
possibility of polishing with rubbing compound or other material? It
is extremely fine pitting, you can't even feel it with a fingernail.
