- Hi listers, we have an old, original oil pump for our 67 Spit. This pump doesn't have a screen on the oil pick-up. Has anybody seen this on their pumps. Can I get away without a screen? Thanks for an

- You should have a screen built into the oil pan- this is what the Heralds have. It encloses the top of the sump, so large pieces are trapped before they get to the lower level. (Although I would pref
