I am reinstalling the distributor shaft assembly in my 60 TR3A, after an engine rebuild. How can I be sure that the shaft going to the oil pump is in the oil pump slot?

With regard to the build date of your TR4, mine was completed on November 13th 1963, and has chassis number CT 272216 L, so your's is older than mine by about 4890 cars. Mine's body number is 27380/

John, its the heart of the engine, it only pumps blood throughout the entire engine, in this case a penny saved could be very harmful down the road. Rebuild it, it's cheap insurance. "FT"

Thanks for your info on BPNW having the internals for my TR6 Oil Pump, I called them and they said they have 50 kits in stock @ $35.00 ea. fits the aluminum Oil Pump only which I have :). I ordered
