Thanks Doug and Dan for the clues. Unfortunately neither loose wires or low voltage to the coil seem to be the problem. The battery has to jumped to start, but that's another problem I need to track

I solved the problem. The spark plug wires were in need of repair, the carburetor float bowls were filled with rust, the fuel filter was too, and the sparkplugs were fouled BUT, those problems were n
