- Could anyone who has done the conversion to the 1967 style GM alternator please answer a question? I just need to verify the wire layout on the install. It appears to be a bit different from the 72-8

- If you have a 1967 GM alternator it needs an external regulator. The 72-82 has an internal regulator. I wired up a similar alt in my '72 240Z using the 240Z external regulator. It worked great. I go
