- Been there, done that (i.e. tiles), can't recommend it!! The tiles expand and contract a lot with temperature. Dirt gets in between them and then they start to peel up from the expansion/contraction

- In addition to what has already been recommended I'd add - - a small piece (2' x 3') of rubber backed carpet to put under any part of the car that habitually leaks. That way you can move it aside aft
