Hi all; J.C. Whitney as well as others (check the local parts store) have a kit which consists of a tap and several inserts. You tap the striped hole and screw in the insert which brings it back 14mm

That's a first for me. My thoughts on a fix. Throw it away, and buy a new one. Plus the plug is made of steel, and the head is aluminum. How did you manage to strip the plug and not the head? Or did

If you stripped the hole in the head the plug goes into, I don't know if the inserts will work. They may not seal completly with the pressure behind them. Best to remove the head, have a machine shop
