Most every aftermarket pad maker has a "street", a "street plus", and a "track" pad. The street is supposed to work well cold, have a somewhat higher coefficient of friction than OEM, and maybe a tad

Ferodos are awesome! Not a lot of people know about them. Jay at Ground Control introduced me to them and I've been using them ever since. I ran them at the Open Track Challenge and at the Nationals.

i would not use a synthetic (silicon) fluid in a street car. it is not hydroscopic like regular brake fluid so the moisture does not go into suspension but hangs out in little acidic puddles and eats

The common Motul 600 (RBF600) is a synthetic DOT 4 fluid and fine for seals (synthetic does NOT equal silicon). Actual silicon based brake fluids will likely be a problem. However Motul is indeed mor

Actually, the correct word is hygroscopic. What you say about the unabsorbed moisture may be correct, but I've also heard that in silicon brake fluid the moisture simply boils and becomes steam. This
