Laots of things happen in the seventies as far as some of the timing on the salt other then the SCTA/BNI meets. Private time was done by others and in some cases Jack Dolan timed the special event.

Henry, the rough outlines are that the AMA handled the motorcycle side of Bonneville for about the first 25 to 30 years, then the AMA somehow lost interest and faded out, when SCTA took it back over,

List; I looked in some old rule books that I could easily find. The 1966 (with 67 revisions) has no motorcycles. The 1977 book has AMA cycle records. the 1981 has Bonneville National Motorcycle recor

As I remember, we allowed, I believe, 10 bikes to run at Speedweek. They ran with us through the AMA. We had nothing to do with their rules, entries, etc. The AMA representative was Earl Flanders. I

Rich, List, I know AMA definitely handled bikes at Bonneville in the '50s, starting in '50 I believe, and a lot of fast Vincents were running then for AMA Class C and A records. I believe it's correc

Tom, Rich, We were inspected by Earl Flanders in 1969 when we ran three mini bikes, from Bonanza, we got two records, 96.--mph in 175/psg and 91.-- in 100/psg , or something like that. Jack Costella
