Toe out is good - generates extra ackerman effect, and will improve/quicken turn in, and sometimes reduce mid corner/corner exit power on understeer (probably not a problem with the torque you have).

I have used both the solid state (compact and no placement rstrictions) and the old mechanical/pendulum style. The solid state one does not provide as smooth a braking force, and seems to work better

I think part of the 'abstinence' has been the lack of a 225/50/14 size. I know Kumar ran some of them last year, I believe the 195/55/14 size, and did OK. Those cars (like mine) really like the 225's
