As in most collecting get the rarest, best one that you can. They are more likely to keep their value. That applies to cars until you get to real expensive ones where options are not that important.

No, no, no, no, no don't use brake fluid. Automatic transmission fluid and power steering fluid are similar but just buy some or manhandle the car home till you can fix the leak and get the fluid. I

No, I don't have many problems with my doors -- I drive it every day. That's the solenoid -- might be a broken wire by the hinge. When you trigger it can you hear the solenoid pop? Sure they move --
