If this is a 2-post lift, that usually calls for 6" of concrete. 4" is fine for a 4-post lift. If you're planning to store your car, what you want is a 4-post lift that supports the car on its wheels

Is there a thermal breaker on the back of the motor that might need reset? Otherwise, you can hardwire the compressor and bypass the pressure switch to see if the motor will turn. ___________________
