Has anyone had this problem? Restoring 1958 MGA from good original condition: I ordered all new brake lines and slaves from Moss. The thread on ther pipes fits the new front slaves they supplied, but

It has been suggested to me that removing the breather pipe on the MGA will reduce the oil burned, and also that I should exchange the oil cap for a vented one. What is the logic on the breather pipe

I am about to replace the filters with modern K&N filters from Moss. If the breather pipe cannot be connected, how did you dead end it? Is it cut off and floating, or did you attach it to something?
