1) Vibration from rear trany mount. In time they (as you are prob aware)...look ok but if u take a big screwdriver or crowbar you could see that it is not attached to the chassis. 2) exhaust manifold

Regarding starters.. I once got (and still have) a lucas starter for my TR4a -but was labled for an application for a Jaguar 3.8s. When compared to a geared -high end starter -this unit turns FASTER.
