- I'm looking at a 1954 235 that has, believe it or not, a 56-62 "insert" type main bearings. These bearings are not supposed to fit this block. After much research, here's what we have: Block casting

- Gary, thanks for the reply My mistake. I stated that the bearings were "insert type", what they are is "roll-out" bearings. With this type, a tang is formed on one edge of the insert to bear against
