The non synchro box bellhousings sometimes have a 4.74" pilot bore for the bearing retainer of the 4 speed. The Synchro Moss box requires no bore Since the bellhousing acts as a bearing retainer. So

There are a multidude of classes that allow for other variations. I'm not familier with each HSR class, remember I just do the gear boxes. I know for example there are classes for vintage "production
