It's supposed to be a flat plate. My `4 had a similar pair of warps. It's mild steel. You can bend it back to approximate the original shape. I bent them back to shape fairly easily with a large adj

Maybe I'll use a Bfh and pound it flat - I can't visualize the adjustable wrench working except on the edge and mine is "warped" several inches up. Maybe the previous dpo liked dumping the clutch for

I'd guess instead that he (or she) hit something sometime in the past. That plate winds up being the only thing keeping the motor from flying through the radiator ... especially if the rear mount br
