I can't find a spec for the slotted nut on the input (pinion) shaft of the 4A IRS diff in the factory shop manual. Haynes says 85-100 lbs, which seems reasonable given the size of the nut and torques

A little Permatex Aviation may help. But first, inspect the bore in the housing for any nicks or gouges. The outside of the seal usually doesn't need any help. That's probably as good a method as an
