- Lew, The hole on the left side is for a lighting switch. I think it is a rheostat for controlling the dash lighting. Mine has been replaced with a switch that seems like a duplication since all it do

- The indicator (top, between the two big dials, right?) is for turn signals. The other switch is for lighting. On most U.S.-spec. early Spitfires, this switch lights only the gauge lights. On Spitfire
