According to my sources (parts manual), the hole to the left of the tach is for the ignition switch, and the hole to the right of the speedo is the "Lighting & Illumination Master Switch". The upper

Lew, The hole on the left side is for a lighting switch. I think it is a rheostat for controlling the dash lighting. Mine has been replaced with a switch that seems like a duplication since all it do

The indicator (top, between the two big dials, right?) is for turn signals. The other switch is for lighting. On most U.S.-spec. early Spitfires, this switch lights only the gauge lights. On Spitfire

Lew, The hole above and centered between the tach and speedo is for your turn signal indicator. As far as for the switch on the panel by the trip reset it could be any thing, it did not come from the
