I don't believe your car would run with a failed pump unless your tank is mounted on the bootlid higher than the carbs. ;) Since the bowl doesn't fill I'd guess the problem is upstream. Fuel should

My suggestion would be to go ahead and remove the pump from the engine, so you can be sure it's assembled correctly. With the top off the pump, you should be able to blow into the inlet past the che

When you were reassembling, did you check that pushing on the lever would pull the diaphragm down against the spring ? This thing can be reassembled so that it looks like it is correct but is not. If
