I body shop guy told me an old trick that actually worked. Vasoline. If it is truly matte or flat black, it probably has no clear coat on it. The vasoline will protect it and restore the black color

To all, The oil light just popped on this afternoon as I was warming her up for a last warm weather run (freak warm front today). The oil is topped up and the pressure reads about 50lbs on the gauge.
