- According to the schematics in the shop manual there is a brown wire that connects to the battery feed at the starter solenoid and then runs to the fuse block for the purple circuit (horns, etc.). T

- Sorry, if I had read it more carefully I would have seen you must have meant the TigersUnited.com Shop Manual, as the original is NOT in color! Regardless of what title they gave Rootes, it does not

- Hi Frank, The schematic (at least this reproduction) http://www.tigersunited.com/resources/wsm/tt-images/MKIBIGwiring.jpg shows a connecting brown wire that runs from the starter solenoid to the Batt

- Thanks. I know about the ammeter option and its connections. I wired mine in a while back and studied carefully so as not to get it wrong. The problem I'm having is not related to the ammeter wiring

- Frank, I rely on one thing, a volt/ohm meter. Do a continuity test to see where the wires actually goes. Who knows what lurks underneath the wiring harness wrapping otherwise. If wrong, send it back.
