Hi Everyone, I've been wondering what people on the list run in their Tigers for rear end gear ratios. I know there are some variables such as 4-speed or 5-speed, close or wide ratio and stock versus

Today I have a nearly stock 260 with headers and a 4 barrel carb. Close ratio toploader and 3.23:1 gears. The car launches nicely and gears are nice and close together. Freeway driving is not a lot o

I use 2.88 with positraction, wide ratio transmission and a warmed up 289. It's perfect for "normal" driving of a Tiger. If I were involved in any competitive activity, I would modify it to suit. Reg

My car has a 3.07 rear end and a close ratio top loader. The motor is a 289 bored and stroked to 331, and breathed on rather heavily To produce big torque at the expense of top end hp. This combo all

I've got a great setup for highway driving. 2:88 rear + a 5 speed with .73 5th gear. RPMs are around 2000 at 70. When you hit 100 mph or above (not that I would....wink, wink, wink), there's still lo

Ask ten people and you will get multiple (10?) answers. It really depends on how you want to use and enjoy your car. I have a 289 with about 300hp (guessing), a toploader of unknown origin, 205/50/1

Interesting the some people think that a stock Tiger cruising at 70MPH and turning 3,000 RPM is acceptable. If you read the literature from the 1960's most people thought this was perfectly acceptabl
