Theo- I think Mk1As came stock with a copper tubing oil pressure line to the gauge. In 72 my first Tiger had copper and I have always believed it was stock. ANYONE- was it copper or plastic when new?

Men- I wont bet my Tiger but I believe the timing chain cover is interchangeable between the Mk1 260 engine and the Mk2 289 and if a person had both covers he could buy the 289 water pump. Im sure it

Phil- I dont know if it will work for anyone else but I did away with header bolts. I bought stainless steel allen head bolts. Much easier to get an allen wrench socket on than a socket or end wrench
