Not necessarily. I chose the Edelbrocks with the 1.90" intake valves for my 289 project. The same heads are also available with the larger 2.02" intake valves which I have used on the big inch motors

On my stock Tiger I use the new version of the SU pump, the one with transistors. I bought it from Moss, it's the same pump used on one of the Big Healeys (BT7 maybe?), just don't remember off-hand.
