- My almost 30 year old Sears Crapsman timing light works fine on solid and resistor core wires. I could be wrong, but I think it's high voltage, not current that creates the magnetic field?

- I painted my wire wheels a couple of years ago after bead blasting them. I used Rustoleum cold galvanizing as the primer, then top-coated with Rustoleum "matte nickel". I think they look pretty good

- No, it just says "no top coat needed", like most zinc coatings or zinc chromates. It takes paint fine and holds up nicely, I've been using for more years than I can remember.

- That's interesting. I'm not sure if I've used any other brands as a primer. Rustoleum does make a shiney kind of galvanizing that I sometimes use when not top coating.

- I believe 4000 watts should run at least two 15 amp circuits. (15ax120v)=1800 watts *2 = 3600 watts. That is assuming both circuits were both at max using 15 amps. In reality they should be drawing
