Monty, You should be able to drift that pin out with a punch and hammer. Try soaking it really well with a penetrant...or perhaps the holes on the dog are slightly peened over...try cleaning 'em out

The plate that the outer end of the weights attach to is permanently connected to the distributor shaft. To remove, you gotta extract the whole assembly. Drive out the pin that retains the driving do

Can anyone advise as to how one is supposed to lube the rack on a 69 Sprite All the technical reference data I have seems to indicate that there should be a zerk on the rack (earlier models maybe?),

Just did ours also (1275cc Sprite) and finally ended up using a small slide hammer to remove the nylon guide. Just be carefull not to score the cylinder wall when screwing in the hammer's spike. My k

Adrian, Take a washer, with a hole big enough to go around the piston link, use your hacksaw and cut a slot out of the washer, compress the spring/cup arrangement and use your slotted washer to hold
