- My solution to this was to chisel a set of timing mark pointers off an old mini timing case and to MIG weld them onto the top edge of the timing cover, next to the crank pully. Turn the engine to TDC

- Not a 5 -spd but I am very pleased with the conversion I did in fitting a T**ph overdrive tranny. Works extremely well on the 1500 and very little hassle to fit Guy

- My car is a 1971 Sprite, UK spec. I don't believe the UK spec cars used charcoal filters of any sort. The catalogue pictures just show a single fuel line from tank to pump to carbs. The tank is vent

- When I first fitted urethane bushes the point about the bar rotating in the bushes hadn't occured to me. I just put it together and a few weeks later had a mounting bush tear out of the chassis rail
