Rick,
My car is a 1971 Sprite, UK spec.
I don't believe the UK spec cars used charcoal filters of any sort. The
catalogue pictures just show a single fuel line from tank to pump to carbs.
The tank is vented through the filler cap, but it also shows a second pipe
along side the fuel line between tank and pump , which I think may be a vent
pipe of some sort. My problem is that I had none of this when I started the
rebuild - it just didn't exist. The pump, which is original to the car, only
has an inlet and an outlet, nothing else to connect a vent pipe to!
I am pretty sure that the UK and USA versions of all this were different.

Guy
