On May 30 you asked about measurements for proper placement/installation of outside door mirrors; I don't recall seeing a detailed response. My 78 1500 has the driver's/left-side mirror exactly 6" b

Can anyone give me some measurements on the best/easiest/correct place to mount a door mirror on a MK IV/1500? For example, how many inches back from the front edge, how far down from the top edge?

Rather than removing the inner door panel to hold the nuts, use sheet metal molly's instead. Often used for hanging something heavy on drywall but this type is intended for mounting into sheetmetal.
