I have a Spit Mk IV (FK series, year unknown) parts car with overdrive - should it have a 3.89:1 rear end like some of the non-overdrive Mk IV's do, or a 4.11:1 like other non-overdrive Mk IV's do, o

AFAIK, all MkIV US-spec Spitfires for 1971 had the 3.89:1 diff, as did all US-spec 1500s from 1973 on. The 1972 US-spec Spitfire MkIV had a 4.11:1 diff regardless. Unlike some GT6 and TR models, the
