- Ok had the timing wrong should be 2 deg atdc. Now set to about 4 deg atdc. Idle still at 1600 rpm. checked dwell thats ok (40). Funny if I start the car without touching the throttle the car will idl

- My guess is that the throttle disks are going out of line. If I remember correctly, you indicated the shafts are not very tight -- if the disk moves off-center, then it will fail to close the air pas
