The Pierce intake manifold has 1/4" more offset than the Cannon intake. I sure would like to know why some people are able to use the Cannon without problems while others have dings in the hood where

The aluminum valve cover has a similar outlet to the standard cover so I don't see how it would change things. In fact it may be worse. The aluminum cover does not have any baffle on the inside like

Yup. I connect the hose from the valve cover to the plastic angle connector on the under side of the air filter. I used the same hose as the ZS and it has no blockage. Not much oil appears in the car

Nope. The dip stick is fine. It works without leaks with the ZS carb because the positive crankcase pressure is relieved by the vacuum port on the ZS carb. Not so with the Weber. Vic W.
