I don't think it is a good idea - the spacer on the GT6's spreads the spring load over the entire seat, while using a nut under each of the three studs will concentrate the load at just the stud loc

Part number for the later GT6 mk III swing spring is 159654. I've been told it is a bit stiffer than the Spitfire version to handle the additional weight. It is no longer available,though. Karl _____
