- I use the JCWhitney synchronizer. It has several adapters for sealing it over the end of the SU, and has a vacuum gauge in pretty fine increments. I think it works great and (IMHO) is easier to use

- I, and I'm certain others on the list, use Monroe or Gabriel air shocks. I believe that Corvette rear shocks from about 1972-79 fit the Spitfire with a little modification to the top mount bushing.
