- Those two gauges work off a nominal 10.5 volts, which is attained by using a temperature-driven slow oscillator in conjunction with very slow gauge movements. Chances are this "stabilizer" is beginni

- Well I finally got the engine swapped from one 71-B to another, plus the dash, wiring harness, rear end and front hubs (to switch from disks to wires). Had a bit of a problem with a sticky float that

- My guess would be the fuse block. The 3rd fuse from the top, as I recall. Once the little clamps that hold a fuse get a little grungy, they stop letting the juice through. A little 240 grit paper on

- Thanks Larry. Acutally I removed the dash yesterday. I did not want to do so but was at a loss to what the problem was. Here's a run down of my subsequent fact-finding. 1. The power wire to the TEMP

- (At last someone spells 'gauge' correctly) Wally - check the 'stabilised' supply (actually 12v switched on and off) to the gauges. PaulH.

- Thanks Paul...I tried replacing that voltage stabilizer that's tucked up on the firewall, sort of behind the headlight switch area. 2 wires going to it, (G/LG and G plus the case for ground) but no c
