Yes, the axle housing, the half shafts and (obviously) the hubs are different. The wire wheel half shafts are somewhere around 1/2 longer than the steel wheel half shafts. I checked a few catalogues

Whoops, I stuffed up when I said that the WW half shafts were ~ 1/2" longer, I meant ~ 1/2 shorter (or as Ray pointed out 9/16) or conversely that the steel half shafts are longer.. Sorry about the b

I was at a britcars wrecker yard on Saturday and the guy there insisted that the Austin/Morris Marina had an OHC engine (and thus didn't share the same block/crank/head as a A-series spridget engine)

Hi Neil, thanks for the info. I have subsequently discovered that Australia only received the 1800 Marina engine, while the UK, NZ definately received both engines. Not sure abouyt the US or Canada.
