- I know this will not effect Mark-II+ cars, but my experience is that 4-synchro trannys will not fit in Mark-I cars because the Mark-I tranny-tunnel is narrower. Please correct me if I'm not. David '6

- Thanks to the list for quite nicely telling me I don't know how to do a tranny swap :) The 3-synchro went back in, and worked fine. Now the whole car is stripped for paint, so we'll see which tranny
